29 August 2016 - MMDA Supreme Championship Show

The MMDA's Supreme Championship Show will be held on Bank Holiday Monday 29 August 2016 as part of The Glendale Show, Wooler, Northumberland. The Glendale Show attracts approximately 15,000 visitors each year and this will be the 5th year for donkey classes...........although the first year for the MMDA Supreme Championship Show so far north !

The Glendale Show is the only show in Northumberland to hold donkey classes and they are always a great favourite with the public, especially the "donkey wearing the Best Fancy Hat" fun class. There are plenty of beautiful rosettes with each class having a large perpetual cup for the winner. There are also keep-sake cups for the open classes and china donkeys on solid crystal bases for the MMDA classes. The MMDA Supreme Champion donkey will leave with The Waterford Perpetual Trophy, and the MMDA Supreme Show Champion Salver presented by Solomons Stud, together with a sash and keep-sake trophy. The MMDA Supreme Show Reserve Champion will also receive a crystal cup and keepsake trophy.

The closing date for entries is 29 July 2016 and further details, and an entry form, is available on the MMDA website. The Donkey Classes will begin at 11.15am on the day with the MMDA Supreme Championship Show Classes following on from the Donkey Breed Society Show Classes.
